Tuesday Update 22 October 2024
What a weekend it’s been! We headed out to Pankee for some serious filming, and while the scenery was stunning, the flies were out in full force! 😅 They gave us absolute hell, but we pushed through and captured some fantastic content. By the end of the day, we were all a bit delirious from the heat and constant swatting, but it was totally worth it. We can't wait to share what we've been working on—it's going to be something special! Update for our pre-order gang, your packages are finally on their way, with local courier companies within your region! 🎉 Each shipment has been divided into 3 separate packages, so don’t worry if they don’t all arrive at once—everything’s coming to you soon, and we’re so excited for you to get your hands on them. The Octans and Phoenix observatories are nearly home! And as summer approaches, we’re gearing up for Expo season! First up is Astrofest, where we’ll be showcasing all our gear. Then, of course, we’re already planning ahead for the big one: NEAF 2025! 🚀 Big things are happening here at Starpoint, and we couldn’t be more pumped for what’s ahead. This week’s been a real celebration for us here at Starpoint Australis! 🎉 We’re thrilled the tents are officially on their way to our amazing pre-order crew! It’s a milestone we’ve all been working so hard for, and we can’t wait for them to arrive at your doorsteps. Huge thank you to everyone for your patience and support! Brendan’s also been hard at work on the SP3 production line, boosting up our BETA testing group to really iron out the last few bugs. Progress is moving smoothly, and we’re excited for what’s ahead with these focusers! On top of that, we’re preparing for an exciting project with a local school. We’ll be installing a beast of a telescope, and Brendan can’t wait to share his love for astronomy and give back to the community by inspiring the next generation of stargazers. Big milestones, big moves—onward and upward!

Good news, everyone! As you’re watching this, the logistics team is picking up our stock and getting it ready for its plane trip to all of you! ✈️ This week has been a bit smoother than last, though we’ve definitely had our moments. It’s been all about getting the logistics team and the manufacturer to play nice—almost like making siblings get along, but we’re on the home stretch now, and we couldn’t be happier! 😅 Other than that, it’s business as usual. The whole team will be together this weekend to remap the website, give it a fresh new look, and put together a ‘how-to’ guide for the observatories! 📖 Thanks again for all your support and encouragement since you last saw us bright-eyed and ready to take on the world at NEAF. We’ve got a few more grey hairs now, but the beloved product is finally on its way to you! Talk to you all next week! 👋
