Tuesday Update 19 November 2024
This week’s update is short and sweet! With Brendan away on personal leave, things have been a little quieter on the manufacturing front. However, in the background, some exciting movements are happening. For our US customers, stock has officially landed in the USA and is making its way to the warehouse. We’re working hard behind the scenes to finalise stock levels and ensure shipping is seamless. For our Australian customers, we’ve just received fantastic news—our ship will arrive this Thursday! Once processed by customs, all stock will be moved to the Perth warehouse. We’ll be in touch soon with tracking numbers or collection details for your orders in the coming week. An announcement will be made once we are ready to move the stock from Pre-Order to Available on the website, so keep an eye out if youve been waiting. Until then, talk soon! 🌟

The week that was… we’re thrilled to announce our new website is officially live! Brendan’s put in some solid hours to make it as user-friendly as possible, and any feedback from you is welcome—good, bad, or anything in between! Brendan's out of state for the rest of the week, but Jess and Dan are holding down the fort and ready to help if you need anything. This past weekend, we had a fantastic time at Astrofest, and last night, Brendan and Dan had the honour of speaking at the Astronomical Society of Western Australia (ASWA). They shared the story behind our observatories, their experiences at NEAF, and insights into the SP3 Focusers. Thanks to everyone who joined us!

This week’s been a bit quieter on the build front as Brendan and the team dived into some much-needed admin work (plus a bit of life admin that’s been waiting in the wings). With our main focus on getting delayed orders shipped out, we’re thrilled that many of you have started receiving your deliveries! We’re also excited to head back out to the Pankee Observatory this weekend. With summer heat making its return here in Perth (hello, mid-30s °C / 90s °F for our US friends), it’s the perfect time to be back in the field. Thanks for sticking with us—bring on the stargazing season! 🌌✨

What a weekend it’s been! We headed out to Pankee for some serious filming, and while the scenery was stunning, the flies were out in full force! 😅 They gave us absolute hell, but we pushed through and captured some fantastic content. By the end of the day, we were all a bit delirious from the heat and constant swatting, but it was totally worth it. We can't wait to share what we've been working on—it's going to be something special! Update for our pre-order gang, your packages are finally on their way, with local courier companies within your region! 🎉 Each shipment has been divided into 3 separate packages, so don’t worry if they don’t all arrive at once—everything’s coming to you soon, and we’re so excited for you to get your hands on them. The Octans and Phoenix observatories are nearly home! And as summer approaches, we’re gearing up for Expo season! First up is Astrofest, where we’ll be showcasing all our gear. Then, of course, we’re already planning ahead for the big one: NEAF 2025! 🚀 Big things are happening here at Starpoint, and we couldn’t be more pumped for what’s ahead.
