This week’s update covers progress across shipping, testing and development at Starpoint Australis. The Octans and Phoenix portable observatories are currently at the port and being consolidated for shipment to the US, with updated timelines to be shared via email in the coming days. With the new moon weekend approaching, testing has continued on the SP3 and filter wheel using the William Optics MCRES, including custom adapter work to ensure correct spacing and integration. This phase of testing is now largely complete, allowing the first extended astrophotography sessions of the year to move ahead. The RC will also be heading out for field testing, with final firmware checks underway to confirm stable interaction with the ASCOM driver. Further updates will be shared as progress continues.
